Gantry crane is an important lifting device for most outdoor goods. Although it is greatly affected by the harsh outdoor environment and many parts need regular inspection and maintenance, the hook, as the main lifting device of gantry crane, is more vulnerable to wear and tear.
The hook of the gantry crane generally carries the weight of all the lifted goods. With the movement of the hook, the steel wire rope caused by the dynamic load will form a greater load on the hook, which will increase the external stress on the contact part between the hook and the steel wire rope, and wear will be formed in the long run. In addition, due to the special environment of outdoor hoisting, there must be slight shaking of goods caused by air flow during the operation of the gantry crane, which will aggravate the friction of the steel wire rope on the hook and make the wear of the hook more serious.
